Buenas noches. En esta ocasión no voy a postear un rumor relacionado con algún juego...

Vamos a ver un vídeo grabado directamente por una trabajadora del hospital (desconozco si enfermera, cirujana, o qué) muestra cómo se ha desplomado el tejado del nuevo y flamante hospital La Fe de aquí de Valencia, del cual Camps ya se ha encargado de ir diciendo por ahí que básicamente es de lo mejor que nos había podido pasar a Valencia, una de las mayores inversiones, etc.

A ver si en realidad no ha habido tanta inversión y se ha recortado de aquí y de allá para almacenarlo en otros bolsillos... (esto obviamente es una consideración mía y puramente subjetiva).

Puesto que no ha abierto nadie hilo de la Captivate (y encima existe embargo hasta el 12, así que poco se podría comentar allí...) pongo aquí unas imágenes que se han filtrado de lo que son los carteles de tres nuevos juegos. Eso sí, como podréis observar, están borrosos... En primer lugar salieron pixelados, al menos ahora están un poco más nítidos (en serio, lo están...)







¿Qué juegos creéis que serán? Por el momento se han presentado además los carteles de Resident Evil Operation Raccon City, Asura Wrath, Street Fighter VS Tekken y Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D, así que evidentemente no se tratará de ninguno de esos. ¿Apuestas?

   Cage confirmed to us that Quantic Dream is beavering away on two “very different” projects - and when they’re finished, he’s going to turn his attention to shaking up the shooter category.

   Cage named both Apocalypse Now and Platoon as potential influences on the title, adding that he was striving to represent war in a more cinematic, less joyful way than the video games industry has become accustomed to.

   “I want to create a genre,” revealed Cage. I want to convince more people that [emotional gaming] is a valid direction for the industry; to show them that this was not just one product, one story. It’s a format that can be used to tell any kind of story in any genre with any tone.”

   He added: “I would really like the opportunity to work on a different type of game. I would love to see if what we discovered could be applied to a first-person shooter, for example.”

   When pressed on whether the idea could ever become a reality at Quantic, Cage replied: “First person, I don’t know. But a game about war is something I would like to do, just to see if we could get closer to the film side; not gloryfying war, but talking about it from a realistic point of view.

   “War is not fun. Talking about what the people involved, what they feel, how horrible it can be. This is something I think could be very exciting and very new for the games industry. When we talk about war, it’s always a very ‘cool’ thing - you have these big guns and you kill loads of people.

   “I would really like to take a different approach; to tell a story about politics [with it] or something a little more serious. I would like to use what we discovered in Heavy Rain in this fantastic medium of interactivity to say something meaningful. This is probably one of the next things I’m going to try.”

   When CVG pointed out that Cage could change people’s expectations of a war game - and potentially damage the predictable domination of CoD-alikes - Cage commented:

   “I think it would be an important way to evangelise [to] people. To say, ‘Look - if you get with more emotion and storytelling, it leads you to a more interesting experience. There is room for more than just games which get you with adrenalin.”

   An emotional war game? Sounds interesting. But just a passing though at the moment, right? Wrong.

   “I’m going to work on it. It’s really something I want to do.”

Square-Enix dice que tiene un gran potencial y no pueden abandonarla, aunque no harán un Parasite Eve 3 puesto que la historia concluye con la segunda entrega.

Aya Brea has big franchise potential, says Square Enix

   3rd Birthday director Hajime Tabata believes the game’s protagonist Aya Brea - previously seen in the Parasite Eve games - has what it takes to star in Square Enix’s “next big franchise”.

   “Parasite Eve 2 finished the story for Parasite Eve, so we couldn’t do a Parasite Eve 3,” Tabata told VG247. “We really thought Aya was such an attractive protagonist, so we didn’t want to just leave her alone. We wanted to resurrect her in hope to make an Aya Brea series our next big franchise.”

Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday is due out this Spring. It’s shaping up to be a very interesting PSP title indeed – but director Hajime Tabata did have concerns that the team might have aimed for the wrong console.

An HD reworking of the original Metal Gear Solid trilogy is on the way to PS3, according to 'insider whispers' heard by the ears of the UK's Official PlayStation Magazine.

In the mag's new issue, in stores now, it reports that Snake is "in the facelift queue", and that the "first three" MGS games are set to be reborn in High Definition.

No details of release window, price or whether the trilogy will be a boxed or digital product are given.

However, any reworking of Kojima-san's much-loved original trio will be music to the ears of PlayStation nuts, with the games still very much considered classics of the genre.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots is currently the only MGS title to be released for PS3. It enjoys a very healthy 94 per cent average review score on Metacritic. Could it be joined by its predecessors in full HD later this year?
