Disc 1
Track 01
The first track is basically about the day that the Giant and the red dragon fell through the sky, during the fight that Caim has with the Giant.

Track 02
Devola/Popola reporting about the Giant and the red dragon incident saying that it caused a panic back then. Then she talks about how this event has lead to the chlorinization, Legions, Gestalt project, the world’s reaction. (You can read about this in the timeline of Grimoire Nier.)

Track 03
The army is fighting against the Legions in Shinjuku. During the fight, the army has found a giant Legion that’s 3 meters tall. This put the army into confusion and no one has ever seen anything like this before. The Legion started eating people, and this has terrified even more soldiers. At the end, the Hamelin Organization has decided on air bombing Shinjuku to the point of killing their own along with it as well.

Note 1: There has yet to be a distinction between “Red Eye” and “Legions”. What is known is that there are many different types of them, and they are not just restricted to a “human” form.
Note 2: It isn’t exactly indicating that the Japanese government = Hamelin, but the guide that comes with the CD says it could be inferred that the Hamelin Organization is a part acting in the stead of the United Nations.

Track 04
Devola/Popola reporting that mankind was able to put a halt on the Legions, but it was far from over. the White Chlorination Syndrome (hereafter WCS) still persists. The Hamelin Organization studied the remains of the Legions (and perhaps even the bodies of those who died from the WCS?) and their discovery has led to what is known as the Gestalt Project in the future.

Track 05
A bunch of politicians are talking about the Gestalt Project, and from the conversation it seems that the many countries in the United Nations favoured the project. When one of the politicians asked which country that is actually paying for the project, another replied that the general idea is “the country responsible for this phenomenon should pay for it”. Basically, as long as Japan is willing to pay for the cost of the project, then it doesn’t need to pay any compensation to countries that are affected.

Track 06
Devola/Popola reporting about the Gestalt project on January 8th, 2005. (Basically she is explaining how the whole Gestalt project works, you can read about it in Grimoire Nier.) The gruesome fact is that, the United Nation and the Hamelin Organization “forced” people to turn into Gestalts to widen the net to search for the successful case in a short period of time. (IIRC from Grimoire Nier, that’s also how original!Nier and others were approached, they were told by rumours/fake promises that if they are willing to do this “experiment” they could save themselves from the WCS and all that.)

Track 07
Original!Nier is with original!Yonah, and he’s burying the remains of their mother who died from the WCS. When original!Yonah asks original!Nier what he is burying, he replied with “garbage”, and he told her to stay away somewhere so she wouldn’t catch a cold from the wind. He keeps on telling himself that he must stay strong for the sake of original!Yonah.
According to the radio broadcast, the sky is raining salt. The government is still discussing the issue with Legions and what to do with the aftermath. Not too long afterwards, there is a broadcast warning that it is now a “level 2” situation, and Nier questions why there is such a broadcast when all the Legions are supposedly gone.

Note 1: This is in January 24th, 2050, Yoyogi area.
Note 2: A level 2 warning is that there is a possibility of Legions, and a level 1 is the possibility of Red Eyes.

Track 08
Original!Kaine’s grandma, Kaali, is lecturing Kaine on her unruly behaviour at a social gathering. She also blames Kaine for keeping a puppy, and that if Kaine wanted a puppy, she should’ve gotten a “better” one that is more suitable for her, and Kaali urges Kaine to “get rid of it efficiently”. When Kaine tries to explain herself, Kaali tells Kaine to shut up (in a very strong condemning way), then she corrects herself with a more neutral tone and tells Kaine that she just wants Kaine to understand the importance of this social gathering.

Kaine’s grandfather steps in and eases the situation while Kaali takes a break from the situation. He explains to Kaine that although Kaali is a war hero, she had and is still suffering from the days that she fought against the Legions and Red Eyes, and hopes that Kaine could understand Kaali’s situation. Kaine says she completely understands the circumstances. Then grandpa says perhaps Kaali likes the dog but she just doesn’t know how to show that she does, and he suggests that they should build it a dog house where it could sleep in. Kaine is very happy after hearing this.

Note 1: Kaali developed PTSD, so she couldn’t control her feelings.
Note 2: Both Kaine’s grandfather and grandmother used to be a soldier back in the days. Kaali was the captain of the 13th crusade, and she defeated the last Red Eye, and thus become the war hero. However, the truth is that while Kaali was indeed in the 13th crusade, she was only the vice-captain, the captain was someone else. So why is it that Kaali is treated as the captain, and where did the original captain went? Such information is kept within the Crusaders’ secret archives and it was never made public. (Look up the year 2030 on Grimoire timeline.)

Track 09
A man is talking on the phone, and it was later revealed that the person he was talking to is none other than Kaali. The man (who is the chief of the research organization) complains about Kaali, and it was also known that because Kaali has successfully defeated the last Red Eye, she received a hefty amount of money as a reward, thus making her extremely wealthy and allowing her to become a patron to many military research. The chief then wonders why Kaali would fund their weapons research organization and whether if Kaali is about to bring another series of war.

Then Emil comes in and wants to share his music with the researchers, the assistant turns him down but tells him that she’ll be there in 30 mins’ time. Then the chief and the assistant talks about how Emil’s power is handy when No. 6 went berserk with her powers. The assistant feels sympathy for Emil because he never gets to see this world. The chief compliments on how Emil has exceptional ability to walk around without bumping into things, it was as though Emil is a monster. The assistant protests and says that he’s innocent and those who should be blamed are people like them who do experiments on these children. (This assistant might be the assistant that has always looked after Emil, please correct me if I’m wrong, IIRC it was in one of the quests that you find the records left by one of the researchers who handled Emil in the past. It might be the Research Project quest? I can’t remember XD.)

At the end of the track comes a phone call, the chief wonders if there is an accident with their “transport”. The assistant asks the chief what he means by “transport”, but she doesn’t get an answer (to which we do in the next track XD).

Note 1: This institution is owned by the government to do research on weapons. It was created in 2018 by the government of Japan as a means to stand against the Hamelin Organization. However, it has been downsizing due to an incident in 2026 when a weapon went out of control.
Note 2: Emil is a human-based magical weapon that is created by this institution. He will not grow old, the researcher responsible for him has been providing him with education in the dark, though the chief is simply tolerating it.

Track 10
A policeman is calling for help, but it appears that he got rejected by the other side of the phone. A warning broadcast puts the situation at level 1 and it tells people to evacuate and not to go to stations or the direction of Shinjuku. The man is still on the phone getting frustrated and telling the other side that Legions are out, but he is once again told that the Legions are no longer there anymore. The man got rejected by the army for assistance. He can’t understand why this is so, and just when he’s asking for clarification, it appears that the phone reception is getting worse. Before he dies, he realizes that what is there at the scene aren’t Legions but Red Eyes.

Another man (I assume it’s someone from the army?) is communicating with his HQ and is reporting the situation on site. He says he cannot contact one of the factions that is on site, but he is able to confirm that they are indeed Red Eyes. Based the information he got from the police, it appears that “Specimen B” is the one that is responsible for this incident. The information on “Specimen B” says its approximately 8 meters big, but right now the man could confirm it is at least 20 meters, and he concludes that it might be contributed to its own growth acceleration. The other side of the phone tells the man to make sure that they prioritize the safety of “Specimen B” before saving the civilians. The man refutes by indicating that Specimen B is a Red Eye, and his team will be wiped out before he could secure “Specimen B”.

Original!Nier and original!Yonah are amongst the people who are evacuating from the event, but because the situation is out of control, original!Nier and original!Yonah are separated from one another in the crowd.

Note 1: Ever since the Legions are eradicated in 2033, the report of any Legions goes to local police as the Japanese government sees that any further reports of Legions’ appearance are simply a hoax.
Note 2: At this point in time, there are Specimens A to F. Any information regarding these specimens are considered to be top secret within the army and the government.

Track 11
The scene goes back to the institution where Emil is. The same assistant is talking to the chief where she is asking him what is going on with the newly established joint-force between them and the army. The institution is asked to use the preserved Red Eye specimens to develop new weapons where it will be funded by politicians and the army. The assistant brings out the earlier incident where one of the Red Eyes went berserk during the transport and she cannot accept the current situation that the institution is being forced into. The chief is frustrated by the situation as well, but there is nothing he could do as the institution needs money to further its work, and this is the only course of action the institution could take to go against the Hamelin Organization.

A group of men rushed in and seized the control of the institution. His name is Masayoshi Yura, and he informs them that the institution is now under the control of the “Counter-measure against Special Biological Organisms Department”. He emphasized that everything from now on will be under his control. The chief says there is no way this would be happening, but Yura tells him that this is the result handed down by the cabinet. After some resistance made by the chief, he was shot and injured.

(I personally recommend listening to what Yura said after he shot the chief, it’s great acting btw )
Yura: Oh my oh my~ Didn’t I mention it earlier? “I’ll shoot if anyone moves.” I mentioned it, didn’t I? I did, oh yes I did, ohhhhhh I did.

Yura goes on saying that while these people in the institution are conducting their boring research, he and the others in the army are out there fighting for everyone’s life. So if anyone wants to live, there is nothing they could do but to follow his instructions and warms the people that they should not go against his orders in the future. The assistant insists that the chief requires medical attention, but Yura simply shoots him in cold blood and kills him. He approaches the assistant and asks her the whereabouts of No. 7 and how to control it. If he doesn’t get this out of them, he will start killing these people 1 by 1 as time goes by (there were 24 people to begin with, but since the chief is killed only 23 are left). The assistant doesn’t want to give up Emil’s whereabouts and would rather die instead, but Emil runs into the scene and tells Yura not to hurt anyone anymore and Emil will go along with what Yura says. Then Emil tells the assistant to be at ease because he is strong and he will be fine.

A phone rings at the end of the track.

Note 1: Ever since the No. 6 berserk event, the institution has been downsizing, and right now, it’s just a demonstration ground of its research.
Note 2: Murasaki is a pseudonym for the institution, it’s called Murasaki because it was originally intended to go against the Hamelin Organization.
Note 3: Masayoshi Yura is the section chief of of the “Counter-measure against Special Biological Organisms Department”, as well as the commander of Shinjuku-area defense team.

Track 12
Kaali is on the phone, and she reminds the other party that she is the one who funds them. From what she is saying it seems to indicate that she is the one who orchestrated the incident at the institution. (She said, “Do remember why I handed over the control of Murasaki to you guys, as well as the reason why you have been chosen for this”.) Before she hangs up, she requests the other party’s presence at her mansion as bodyguards. Grandfather asks what Kaali is doing and Kaali simply tells him that there is nothing to be worried about.

Kaine names the dog “Shiro” [white] and she wonders if the dog likes it. Argument between her grandfather and her grandmother could be heard in the background. Kaine talks to the puppy and tells the puppy that she’s been having a very fortunate and happy life because her grandparents are there with her. However, there are times that she’s afraid of herself, she feels that it was as though there’s something dark and frightening within herself. Kaine is confused about what she should do about this feeling that she has, but she shrugged it off and says that as long as she has her grandparents and the puppy with her, she’ll be fine.

The broadcast of Legions’ appearance has reached Kaine’s mansion, and Kaine wonders why this is happening.

Track 13
Yura hangs up the phone and he is unhappy about the conversation he had with Kaali. Taking a step back, he acknowledges that without the money that Kaali is supplying to them, things couldn’t be done. Realizing this however, he is still very unhappy about the fact that he and his team of men have to guard Kaali’s house. Then he takes his anger out on the assistant who tells him to stop, but Emil steps in and tells him that he shouldn’t be doing this to the people in the research facility. Yura’s temper got worse and he grabs Emil and strangles him. When Emil is trying to struggle his way out of Yura’s grasp, Yura unleashed a weapon that he claims to be the latest invention of the Hamelin Organization. He explains that while it is useless to ordinary humans, any entities possessing maso will be affected by this weapon.

Emil is hurt by the weapon and Yura threatens the assistant who wants to help Emil by saying that he’ll shoot if she does. It is then that Yura tells the assistant that he’ll do anything and use anything to achieve his goals, that is if it could be used. Then he is reminded of Kaali and her mansion as the battleground to subdue the Red Eye since he’s been appointed as the one in command. He tells his henchmen to tell the HQ that due to unforeseeable circumstances, he has to take action against the Red Eye. He also tells the HQ that it should not interfere or let the civilians in the neighbourhood be informed of the situation. The assistant protests on deaf ears and Yura punches her. Before Yura left, he orders some men to be remained at the institution to stand guard while the rest heads to Kaali’s mansion.

Note 1: Yura is awarded his high position in the army because he is intelligent and has an apt way of resolving problems. However he is infamous for violence against the weak and his henchmen.
Note 2: The weapon that Yura unleashed is called “Bible” (SS22). It’s a 40cm octagon with a coil that has maso floating within. However, it is only effective against a small sized Legion. Since the Legions are supposedly to be eliminated, why is the Hamelin Organization still developing weapons against them?

Track 14
Original!Nier is looking for original!Yonah on the streets where people are evacuating from the Legion. He tells himself that he needs to calm down and he needs to keep on looking, since he must protect her at all costs. Then a lady approaches him, and tells him that perhaps his sister went towards the direction of Kaine’s place. Original!Nier is pleased to hear that and he heads toward the mansion.

Track 15
Shiro is being agitated and she keeps on barking. Kaali heard the barking and tells Kaine to control the dog. Just then, Yura and his men arrives the mansion and Yura greets Kaali with a sense of sarcastic formalities. He tells her that the reason it takes some time to get there because he brought along 62 men and the latest mobile weapon with him – P22. He then asks Kaali if she’s pleased with what he has brought her, and Kaali sounds impressed. Yura brought up another deal that he has with Kaali about giving him more power as the leader of the “Ryuu no Kai” [~the band of dragon], but Kaali tells him that he has to wait until this is over.

Kaine’s grandfather comes out and sees the P22 that has been setup just now, and he asks Kaali why they need to get such a heavy security around their mansion. Kaali is enraged and tells him that there is a reason because she is /the/ person who eliminated the Legions. Kaine’s grandfather doesn’t argue with her, but he still thinks that the amount of security placed around their mansion is too much. Yura steps in and tells Kaine’s grandfather that this is a gift from the department of defense to thank both Kaali and Kaine’s grandfather for their years of service back in the days. However, Kaine’s grandfather rejects this and reminds Yura that he is no longer serving in the army. Kaali simply tells Kaine’s grandfather off by letting him know that it’s her decision and he has nothing to do with it. Yura directs the P22 to move towards the south side and Kaali reminds Yura that he needs to watch out for the plantation in the garden. Yura thinks that the things planted in that garden are nothing but garbage.

Kaine meets a missing girl, and it turns out to be original!Yonah. Kaine tells original!Yonah that it’s dangerous to be out here and they should get inside the mansion. Kaine also tells original!Yonah that she’ll help looking for her brother later. When original!Yonah asks if the house is safe, Kaine replies that it is because it is guarded by a lot of people from the army.

Note 1: P22 is the latest revamped model of P11. It’s made to fight against the Legions, and ever since the government has announced that the Legions are all eliminated, there are 242 of P22 left in the care of the army. These P22s are then used as patrol units, but it causes some political problems for other countries. After the success of P22s, P33s are in development.
Note 2: It’s an unknown species of white flower that Kaali is growing in her garden.

Track 16
Original!Nier is running around looking for original!Yonah, and he sees the Legions fighting with the men stationed at Kaali’s mansion (and I think he is spotted by the Red Eye). Yura is in a trance telling his men to fire at the Red Eye, but his men tell him that they don’t have enough people to carry out his orders because they are engaged in fights scattered around the vicinity of the mansion. Yura is infuriated by what he was told and he beats up one of the men and tells that man to lure the Red Eye right in front of the mansion. Then he left and tells his men that he is going to get P22 ready for the attack.

Track 17
Original!Yonah tells Kaine that she is frightened, and Kaine comforts her by saying that they will be safe because a lot of soldiers are here guarding them. Kaali is heard in the background complaining about the course of action that Yura is taking, and she is unhappy about how Yura’s plans seem like it will destroy her mansion. She tells Yura that he needs to get rid of the Red Eye right on the spot. Yura tell Kaali in return that he’s just doing what he’s told to do – to protect them. He further emphasized that his duty is not to destroy the Red Eye but to protect them. Kaali seems to realize something is about to go wrong.

Yura orders his men to get ready to fight the Red Eye and blast it to hell. One of Yura’s men reports that if he were to do it, then some of his men will be hurt as well, but Yura calmly replies that they will be sacrificed honorably on the battlefield. He states that once this is over, he will make them heroes. The man objects but Yura hits him and says that none of them are reliable. Yura then orders P22 to unleash all its missiles, lasers and safety lock and aim it at the Red Eye. However there’s an error with P22’s laser and suffered several attacks, so Yura tells P22 to change into grapple mode.

Original!Nier finally founds original!Yonah who is with Kaine. Kaali is hysterical about her house on fire and Kaine’s grandfather urges her to stay away from the house and escape.

Just when Yura thinks P22 is getting the upperhand, arms came out of Red Eye’s abdomen and attacks P22. He orders P22 to initiate further attacks, but P22 responds that it can no longer function and explodes. Yura is astonished by what he sees and he can’t believe this Red Eye possesses the rapid growth ability. One of Yura’s men reports to him that Legions are coming out of the Red Eye’s stomach.

Kaine tells original!Nier and original!Yonah to stay away from this place, and when original!Nier asks what will happen to her, Kaine says that she must go back to her grandparents. Just when Kaali is about to get attacked by a Legion, Kaine’s grandfather blocked it for her and the Legion’s spear impales him. Kaine got to the scene, and her grandfather tells her that something drastic is going to happen to the world that they live in, and he feels bad for getting her involved. However, before he could finish what he wants to say, the Red Eye crushed him. Kaine cries painfully.

Yura calls out to his men saying that it’s now impossible to capture the Red Eye, so he is switching the plan to destroy it. He tells his men to bring out No. 7 as he sees that fighting with monsters should use unconventional means. Yura tells No. 7 that while the others are fighting against the Legions, he will petrify the Red Eye. Emil responds by telling Yura that if he uses his ability, then those men that are fighting against the Red Eye will be petrified as well. Without any warning, Yura takes off Emil’s scarf. The men who are fighting against the Red Eye are petrified, but it appears that the petrifying has stopped because Emil cries and tells Yura that he doesn’t want to do this anymore. Emil doesn’t want to see innocent people dragged into his range of attack, but Yura doesn’t buy it and he tells one of his men to bring him a drug to inject it into Emil. The drug causes Emil to go out of control and Yura leaves his men at the scene by saying that he’s going to run away.

Note 1: Laser isn’t used a lot on the battlefield back in 2010, but due to the discovery of maso and further developments, it is now widely employed in different industries other than arms and weapons.
Note 2: Kaine’s has her grandfather’s internal organs on the right side of her face when the Red Eye stepped on his upper half of the body.
Note 3: Ever since Yura ran away from the scene, he has become a fugitive. The police have issued an arrest for him, but he is never caught. He changed his name to Tyrann and successfully become a Gestalt. However, because the government discovered his Replicant, so they destroyed Yura’s Replicant and left him with nowhere else to return to. So during the 1000 years, he illegally takes other people’s Replicant one after another to survive.

Track 18
Kaali says that there is something she must tell Kaine, but before she could do it, Kaali was taken away by the Red Eye and the Red Eye engulfed (grabbed) her. Kaine feels that the dark emotions are surging within herself, she wonders what this is and goes out of control.

Original!Nier is surprised to see that a human could fight against a Red Eye. Kaine breaks open the Red Eye to release her grandmother while the others fear for her and Emil’s power. Kaine keeps on attacking the Red Eye even though it’s down and defeated. She even got to the point of attacking humans and she can’t control herself. Original!Nier tells Kaine and Emil to stop and there is no longer a need to fight anymore. Original!Nier says he can’t leave Kaine there all by herself, others tell him to leave because they are just monsters, but original!Nier defends them by saying that they are not monsters. Original!Nier yells out to Kaine and Emil that they can stop now, and the two return to normal.

A helicopter sound can be heard and a man stepped out telling his people to arrest all the people from “Ryuu no Kai” and to secure any remains left of the Red Eye. Original!Nier tells original!Yonah that everything’s fine now. He also wonders why he feels the need to save them despite the fact that they have never met one another before. Original!Nier tells Kaine that she’s okay from now, but Kaine is confused and she whispers to her grandparents that she is scared and she doesn’t understand what is going on.

Note 1: Although Kaine is told that her parents have passed away, she is actually a “program baby” created by the genes of Kaali, her grandfather and the combined analysis of Legions’ attack patterns. Ever since the Legions are announced eradicated, Kaali feels guilty for what she has done, so she takes Kaine upon herself and raises her while sealing the trigger for her offensive form. Unfortunately, the series of events have triggered Kaine to unlock the mechanism as she witnessed the horrifying deaths of her grandparents.
Note 2: “Ryuu no Kai” is a coup d’etat group formed by Yura.
Note 3: The World Purification Organization and the Japanese government agreed that if they were to broadcast this event, it would cause unnecessary panic to the world, thus there are no public records and this event is considered to be a coup d’etat gone wrong.

Track 19
Devola/Popola reporting on the incident. Most of the information is listed in the notes section above. The report states that although it would like to look into Girl A (Kaine), but it appears that information regarding her are hidden deep within the cabinet and thus nothing could be investigated. It also shifts the blame to the dead chief of the institution with regards to No. 7. Emil is supposed to be disposed after this event, however, seeing that there is not yet a way to safely dispose No. 6, No. 7’s ability is needed for now. Man A (Nier) has made a pact with Grimoire Noir and he became the perfect Gestalt, although Girl B (Yonah) has undergone the same treatment but she fails. It is realized that Man A’s importance could be undermined by the unsuccessful case of Girl B, therefore, the observers will place a close surveillance on him. It is also estimated that it takes 1000 years to draw out the maso needed for the success of the project. (Devola signs off as the observer of the Kantou Region C Alpha, while Popola signs off as the observer of the Kantou Region C Beta.)

-Track 1 on disk 2 is about Nier and his deal with the researchers who promised him to put Yonah into cryogenics for 1000 years while he provides them with maso.
-Track 2 talks about what happens to Kaine after the Maou is defeated. This track contains mature subject matter, so be prepared for something similar (or perhaps even more gross) to the short story "Banquet of the Witch".
-Track 3 is quite light hearted, it takes place 280 years after Nier and Kaine have passed away. It's one of those silly Emil tracks that you can expect XD

Disc 2
Track 01
A man is talking to original!Nier about original!Yonah. Original!Nier wonders when original!Yonah will wake up since it has been 5 years. The man tells original!Nier that he’s very sorry and he did his best to look into the matter, and original!Nier apologizes saying that he knew everyone’s working their best. The man promises original!Nier that he will let original!Nier know if anything comes up, and original!Nier takes his leave. The man laments how ironic it is that original!Nier is the only successful Gestalt case in the world, but original!Yonah cannot be saved.

After a phone call, original!Nier sounds very frustrated, and Grimoire Noir tells him that there’s nothing that could be done. Original!Nier thinks that the Japanese government and the World Purification Organization treats him like an idiot, and they aren’t even bothering with saving original!Yonah. Grimoire Noir tells original!Nier that he shouldn’t push things, and tells original!Nier that the government and the organization have been working their best. However, original!Nier has had enough with that excuse and says that if they have been working hard, then original!Yonah would’ve been helped already. Grimoire Noir expresses that he could understand original!Nier’s feelings very well, but because original!Nier is the saviour of mankind, that’s why others could be at ease to undergo the Gestalt process. (Noir refers to Nier as “Your Majesty [My King]”.) Therefore, Grimoire Noir tells original!Nier that shall not worry himself with this matter as there will be a way out eventually. Unfortunately, original!Nier feels that he isn’t anyone’s king or saviour.

An observer comes into the scene. The observer tells original!Nier and Grimoire Noir that they are only allowed to roam freely up until the Yoyogi national highway. If they go any further, the observers will not be able to protect the two. Grimoire Noir is taken aback by what the observer said, and tells the observer to watch who he’s speaking to. Furthermore, Grimoire Noir thinks that the observer should be grateful for what original!Nier has been doing. Original!Nier interrupts the two and tells Grimoire Nier to be at ease, he says that it’s no one’s fault that it ended up like this.

Elsewhere, the man that spoke with original!Nier seems to be having a meeting with his superior. His superior tells him that until the project is completed, original!Yonah will remain in cryogenics. They plan to preserve the situation, but since original!Nier cannot meet his sister, it has taken a toll on original!Nier’s mental stability, therefore, a change of plan has been decided. The man concludes that if there is a change of plan, that means there is indeed no way to save original!Yonah, and his superior confirms that. The superior explains further that it is practically impossible to treat an unsuccessful Gestalt. Then the man asks who should be the one to break this news to original!Nier, his superior tells him that he has been designated as the one since the beginning. The man can’t believe this and says if he does then he’ll be lying to original!Nier, but his superior tells him that it’s not practically “impossible”, after all, no one knows what is going to happen in the future. The superior also tells the man that if he doesn’t want to do it, the organization have other means of making sure original!Nier will comply and accept the situation. He reveals that there are intentions to get rid of the unsuccessful Gestalt of original!Yonah, but of course nothing has been done yet. The man can’t do anything but to agree with his superior’s orders. Before the man leaves, his superior reminds him that without original!Nier, mankind will face destruction.

The assistant who was in the institution where Emil is is now promoted to become the chief of the institution after the Red Eye incident. She tells original!Nier that he shouldn’t put too much stress on himself. She tells him that there are many others who are just like original!Yonah, and that despite the institution used to do weapons research, it has now become an institution that does anything regarding the Gestalt project. She remarks that original!Yonah is lucky to be chosen to undergo such operation, she goes on to tell original!Nier that his existence has saved many people in the world, therefore, they are all trying their best to help original!Yonah. original!Nier tells the assistant that he is not who everyone thinks he is, but he hopes that the researchers could do something for original!Yonah. Original!Nier gets a phone call from someone in the government, and he was summoned to where he previously spoke with the man.

Original!Nier is surprised to hear that it’ll take 1000 years and that during the 1000 years, they will put original!Yonah in cryogenic sleep, and after 1000 years when the Gestalt Project is done, they will be able to find a way to cure her. The man tells original!Nier that during the 1000 years, original!Nier will not grow old so he will be able to meet original!Yonah after that. However, original!Nier thinks that 1000 years is too long, and it’s simply impossible for her to keep on sleeping for such a long time. The man apologizes and tells original!Nier that this is the limit of mankind’s technology for now, but original!Nier as the perfect Gestalt is mankind’s saviour and that he on behalf of others promises original!Nier to do their best for original!Yonah. original!Nier is saddened by what he has been told, he feels useless that he couldn’t even help his own sister.

When original!Nier wants to be alone, an observer interrupts and tell him once again that if he goes any further, they won’t be able to protect him. However, Grimoire Noir stops the observer and tells him that original!Nier wants to be alone. The observer doesn’t take no for an answer and tells Grimoire Noir that he is just fulfilling his duty, and adds that the two of them should not be too conceited by their position. Grimoire Noir is about to unleash its magic on the observer until original!Nier stops it. Original!Nier tells Grimoire Noir that he just want to be left alone, and he also warns the observer that if he messes with them original!Nier will use Grimoire Noir’s power to defeat him. Original!Nier also tells the observer to bring a message back to the government, that is he won’t be running away and he will wait for 1000 years and live for that duration of time until original!Yonah awakes. Grimoire Noir also pledges its allegiance to original!Nier by saying that it will stay beside him forever until the day that the Gestalt Project is completed, and it will become its strength to go through any hardships.

Note 1: This is Tokyo in 2058.
Note 2: original!Nier has become the perfect Gestalt, so he is under the custody and surveillance of the Japanese government and the World Purification Organization. Although original!Nier is a Gestalt, he looks no different than any other ordinary humans.
Note 3: Grimoire Noir is programmed to obey original!Nier.
Note 4: The observers are equipped with weapons that could utilize magic, so that they will not be inferior to the Grimoires.
Note 5: Nier’s body is gradually eaten away by the words in black, but he is able to maintain his sanity as a human because of his strong determination to save his sister.

Track 02
Kaine’s fighting against the shades (and swearing as always lol). After she defeats the shades, she keeps on muttering to herself that nothing could replace the void within her. A man calls out behind her and says that Kaine looks very tired, but Kaine brushes it off by saying that she’s fine. The man compliments her strength and pays her. He thanks her and says that he hopes she will help them again if there is a need for it, Kaine simply walks away.

The man’s sister comes out from the village and asks her brother if the shades have been taken care of. The man tells her so, and he says it’s all thanks to Kaine, but his sister thinks that Kaine is scary. He asks his sister why she thinks so, after all, Kaine’s the one who saved their village and no one should speak ill of Kaine. He says that Kaine is no longer being possessed by a shade, so she is just an ordinary human, despite that, Kaine still lives outside of villages (which worries the man).

Kaine has had a nightmare again, she can’t figure out why she keeps on having nightmares and why there is an empty void inside her. Shades appear around where she stays, and Kaine takes them on one after another. All of a sudden a scream is heard from the village, Kaine realizes this is a trap setup by the Shades, and after realizing this, she got even more excited that these Shades could be so elaborate as to setup something like this.

The village is under attack by the Shades and Kaine comes to rescue. Kaine is in a frenzy attacking the Shades non-stop. After the pillage, the sister mentioned earlier is crying over her brother, he is severely injured during the attack. The sister explains to his brother that Kaine came to help them, and the man is pleased to hear that it was Kaine who helped the village and dies. Immediately after that, Kaine goes into the house, and it surprised the sister. The sister asks Kaine what is going on, but Kaine is still in a frenzy, she pushes the sister away and heads toward the brother. Kaine keeps on saying that it’s not enough no matter how many Shades she has been slaying, and the noise of torn clothes and banging could be heard. Kaine asks why people have to die and why she is here in this world, she is crying and angry at the same time. The sister tells Kaine to stop as she is freaked out by what she saw. The sister ran out of the house to get others for help, it is then that Kaine starts to realize what she has done to the corpse. She curses herself and runs away from the village while crying in pain.

Kaine comes upon the Moon Flower, and wonders why tears are coming out of her eyes whenever she sees it. She breaks down and wants to know why she is behaving like this.

Note 1: This takes place at the northern exit of Nier’s village 3 months after the Shadowlord has been defeated and Nier has been forgotten.
Note 2: Kaine survives by taking requests from villages to protect them from the Shades. Although she loses her magical powers, her strength remains as a result of her genes.
Note 3: The client is the vice captain of the youth trope. Kaine sounds uninterested and blunt towards him, but she actually lusts after tough looking men with a tan.

Track 03
Emil is moving around and he wonders why he can’t encounter anyone. After being chased around by the wild boar, he decides to use “Emil Dash” to get away from the wild boar before it crushes Emil into fragments again. Then he encounters a UFO from the sky and when Emil wants to greet it, the UFO attacks Emil and the animals. Emil retaliates the UFO by using his magic, but the UFO can withstand his attacks. Eventually, Emil unleashes “Emil Beam” and “Emil Copy”. Emil makes 430 copies of himself to fight against the UFO, and he wins the battle at the end. Just before he falls asleep (the drama makes it sounds like he’s about to die lol), he realizes that he forgot to retrieve one of his copies, and Emil calls out to his copy, telling him that he’s here.
(It’s interesting that he mentioned that the reason he wants to protect this place because it’s the place where Nier, Kaine and Weiss existed. Does it mean that this could’ve taken place after ending E?)

Note 1: This is the world 280 years after Kaine and Nier have passed away.
Note 2: Emil is in the Northern Plains. Due to extreme weather changes, the field has become barren. Moreover, since the observers are no longer there, all the Replicants have died out. Essentially, the only living things that are there are animals.
Note 3: After years of customization, Emil’s body is replaced by different mechanical parts which make him look awfully strange.
Note 4: The UFO is an Adamski type.
Note 5: Emil Beam is a skill where Emil shoots beams out of his eyes, this is achieved by years of studies in magic
