Banda sonora compuesta, dirigida y producida Hitoshi Sakimoto

Antes de nada, conozcamos un poco mejor al compositor de esta decimo segunda entrega de este conocido juego.

Hitoshi Sakimoto

Nació en 1969,Tokio. Empezó su andadura musical como freelance en 1990, con el apodo YmoH.S. En 1997, Sakimoto se une a SquareSoft (actual Square-Enix). Un poco más tarde, en el año 2000, cuando terminó su trabajo en el juego action/RPG Vagrant Story, volvió a trabajar como compositor para SquareSoft, pero una vez más, como freelance. Por aquel entonces, Sakimoto, creó lo que sería Basiscape, una companía independiente que se encarga de música para videojuegos y otro tipo de medios.

Como fundador de Basiscape, creó regularmente música para varios juegos, haciendo a su vez alguna que otra colaboración en companías independientes. También forman parte de Basiscape, Masaharu Iwata, (amigo de Sakimoto desde hace mucho tiempo) y otros miembros como Manabu Namiki y Mitsuhiro Kaneda.

ANÁLISIS

En primer lugar, para cualquier jugador que haya seguido esta saga desde sus inicios, notará la ausencia del gran Nobuo Uematsu, que, ahora, solamente se dedica a la producción, y, raramente, compone para esta saga (recientemente compuso la canción del trailer de Super Smash Bros. Brawl y que os podeis descargar en esta página) algo que echamos en falta, pero que no tiene que ser un impedimento, pues, la banda sonora que nos ocupa está al nivel del gran Uematsu, eso si, con el estilo Sakimoto.

Nada más escuchar las primeras canciones, nos vendrá a la cabeza un juego: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, puesto que, es muy parecida musicalmente hablando. Esto no tiene nada de malo, ya que, en cierto sentido el juego está ambientado en el mismo mundo que en el juego antes mencionado, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: Ivalice.

La música raya a un muy buen nivel, tonos épicos, muy acordes con la estética del juego y al mundo que le rodea. Canciones de las anteriores entregas también estarán presentes en esta banda sonora (como por ejemplo, la mítica canción de los Chocobos) o el ya archiconocido Final Fantasy Theme evidenciando que estamos ante un Final Fantasy puro y duro y no un juego diferente como lo fue el Final Fantasy X-2. Temas muy conocidos por todos, como el Victory Fanfare también nos acompañarán a lo largo de esta aventura.

En resumen, no hay que temer la ausencia de Nobuo Uematsu, pues, Sakimoto hace una expléndida banda sonora retomando los orígenes de la saga después del gran chasco que supuso el X-2.

Si te gustan las bandas sonoras de esta famosa saga, no lo dudes, no te defraudará en absoluto, disfrutarás de las canciones tanto como en las anteriores entregas.
